STONEHENGE re-opened TRO PUBLIC INQUIRY - starts 20 Sept 2011

THIS WILL START AGAIN AFTER CHALLENGES BY OBJECTORS AT THE FIRST INQUIRY IN JUNE RESULTED IN THE STOPPING UP ORDER FOR THE A344 BEING GRANTED BUT THE TRO WAS TO BE HEARD LATER ON 20 SEPTEMBER 2011. THE PROGRAMME, INQUIRY INSPECTOR'S INSTRUCTIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE ARE BELOW

Formal Notification of the Non Statutory Inquiry for The County of Wiltshire (Stonehenge World Heritage Site, Parishes of A

Dear Sir/Madam

 Re: The County of Wiltshire (Stonehenge World Heritage Site, Parishes of Amesbury, Berwick St. James, Durrington, Wilsford Cum Lake, Winterbourne Stoke and Woodford (Prohibition of Driving) Order 2010

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

 
Please find enclosed a copy of the Council’s formal notification of the Non-Statutory Inquiry for the above Order as required under paragraph 10 (3) (b) of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996. Please note there is no need to forward your original objection to the Inspector as this will have already been passed to the Inspector and included in the Inquiry Core Documents.

 Please further note that the deadline for submission of proofs of evidence and summaries has now passed. All evidence submitted by the 25 May will be taken into account but the Inspector will not accept additional evidence unless the Inspector is satisfied that the evidence in question could not have reasonably be submitted by 25 May or where an objector who was not previously notified of the inquiry by the Programme Officer on 15 April 2011 wishes to be heard.
 
The Inquiry has been adjourned and will begin on 20 September 2011 at Salisbury Rugby Club, Castle Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP1 3SA.

 If you require sight of the Inquiry Core Documents these can be viewed at the Council’s offices 37 Endless Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 1DP between the hours of 0900 and 1700. Some Inquiry documents (including the Inspector’s pre-inquiry note and addendum to the pre-inquiry note) can also be viewed online at the Inquiry website at http:/www.wiltshire.gov.uk/stonehengeinquiry.htm.

WE WERE NOT ABLE TO RECORD THE PROCEEDINGS SO ROUGH NOTES WILL HAVE TO SUFFICE UNTIL THE INSPECTOR CLOSES THE INQUIRY AND PRODUCES HIS OWN REPORT.

WHEN THAT REPORT IS TO HAND WE WILL OF COURSE MAKE SURE ITS AVAILABLE ON EITHER ON HERE OR LINKS WILL BE PROVIDED TO WHERE IT IS.

DEPENDENT UPON WHAT THAT REPORT CONCLUDES AS A DECISION, WE WILL BE READY TO ADDRESS THE NEXT STAGE OF THIS CHALLENGE
