Woodhenge Located about two miles from Stonehenge, and linked together by the ancient Avenue, this Neolithic monument dates from about 2300 BC. It was discovered in 1925 when dark rings were seen in fields by aerial photographers. There are 168 post holes which now have round concrete markers where the timbers originally aligned in six concentric rings
